The internet wires have been glowing after Google’s recent Chrome OS announcement. Not much is known about the yet-to-be-released operating system, apart from it being Linux-based, quick booting, and likely to use a modified version of the Chrome browser as its user interface. People are assuming, quite logically, that if the interface is a web browser, the principle aim of Chrome OS is to encourage the use of web applications in place of installed software. In this post we’ll argue that pushing people towards web applications (with a web-only OS) is an inferior strategy to pulling them in with new and more innovative products. We’ll also argue that the principle drivers for creating better web applaction can only come from inside the browser rather than outside. In other words, we’ll argue that Chrome OS represents a missed opportunity.

Hello Everyone !

To download Complete Photo Albums from FaceBook you need Firefox to be installed first. Download the FacePAD Firefox extension. You may get a message block from Firefox .

-right click and allow that.
-Once you have installed - You will need to re-start Firefox to begin using the new extension.

-You will now see FacePAD added to your list of Plugins in Firefox.

-Head over to your friend's profile page and click on Photos. There you will find all the albums of your friends. Simply right click on the photo album and you will now get a new option "Download Album with FacePAD". Go ahead and download the album.

-Currently you get a weird message to indicate that the album download has begun.

-You will now find all the photos of the FaceBook album neatly downloaded to your Hard Disk with absolutely no effort.

-Now that's a really cool app to have. Makes tasks that much more simpler and fun.

Thanks.

Hello Guys

Follow the Steps :

Opened the Tools > Options > Privacy. Change the drop down to "Use Custom Settings for History" and then you will find the culprit sitting quietly over there. There is a default setting inFirefox to remember history for 90 days which is really huge. This basically means that Firefox will be remembering each and every site you have been visited with the details such as date and time of the visit for the last three months that you have been using Firefox!!!. This will be really very very huge if you are a power user like me who spends considerable time online.

Well, to fix the slowness of your Firefox is to

simply goto the Privacy tab (Tools > Options > Privacy) and changing the drop down to "Use Custom Settings for History" and then change the setting to a much smaller value say 5 days!!

Then head over to Tools >> Clear recent history and select "Everything" in the drop down and hit Ok. Once that is done - close and open Firefox to see so much of speed!!

Hope this tip helped you in making Firefox work much faster.

Hello Guys !!

I was Mozilla Firefox candidate and my friend was on the side of Opera. He had been using Opera for quite a long time and he would never change that. We decided to test our claims. After arranging two PCs for the test, I opened Firefox at mine and he opened Opera at his PC. Plan was to open several websites again and again but at the same time at both PCs, one website at a time and see which browser loads the website faster.

I am a great fan of Firefox and have trust in my choice of browser. We selected a website and typed URL in browsers. At the same time we hit enter key. I was at the Firefox while my friend was at Opera. I was taken aback when Opera loaded the website page before Firefox could. Okay! I told my friend that it could be a coincidence. So we tried again. Same result. Opera showed up the page before Firefox and loaded the website with greater speed. We tried different websites after that, but to my surprise, Opera was leading every time and in case of every website. Even we hit enter for Firefox first and then for Opera, but Opera loaded the page faster then the Firefox. It was clear that Opera is way more faster then the Firefox.

Opera is Turbo charged, having new features and technology. Many people like Firefox and consider it to be the fastest browser for internet. But the case was different here. I have also noticed that Opera loads the images in slightly low quality at first load for better performance / speed and when you hit refresh button, it loads the high quality version of images. Firefox popularity is majorly due to the Plugins and Add-ons support.

What have been your experience for Firefox? Do you prefer Opera? If so why?

Here some nice features about the google Chrome,
Google Chrome aims to improve security, speed, and stability. There are extensive differences from its peers in Chrome's minimalistic user interface, which is atypical of modern web browsers.Chrome's strength is its application performance and JavaScript processing speed, both of which were independently verified by multiple websites to be the swiftest amongst the major browsers of its time. However, with the advent of WebKit's Squirrelfish Extreme and Mozilla's TraceMonkey JavaScript engines, Chrome's JavaScript execution performance has been found to be slower. Many of Chrome's unique features had been previously announced by other browser developers, but Google was the first to implement and publicly release them. For example, its most prominent graphical user interface (GUI) innovation, the merging of the address bar and search bar (the Omnibox) was first announced by Mozilla in September 2008 as a planned feature for Firefox.Chrome was assembled from 26 different code libraries from Google and others from third parties such as Netscape.

It's a fact that Chrome OS will be based on Linux. It's a rumor that it might be a slimmed down version of Ubuntu.

If the latter is true we could assume that it will be able to run all programs that Ubuntu runs, but within a nice Chrome OS interface (at least I think it's gonna be nice). This would allow it to be used as a full scale desktop operating system running everyting Ubuntu can run, from gaming to productivity apps to Windows programs that work in WINE, plus the Google applications and various web apps.

If so, would you want to run it as your desktop OS or do you primarily look forward to it for your netbook?
